The Role

Teaching Personnel are eagerly looking to work with psychology graduates to work in a 'Good' alternative provision. The school has a broad range of SEMH conditions ranging from attachment disorders all the way through to challenging behaviour. The role will involve working within a classroom setting, although on occasion it could be required to go offsite with pupils to escort them to alternative locations.

About you as the ideal candidate

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with SEMH children, either in a class setting or alternatively in a 1:1 setting could be considered.

  • Otherwise you might have worked with children who have exhibited challenging behaviour in another relevant setting.

  • Ideally, you will be trained as a teaching assistant and be a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, although this is not necessarily essential, but will preferably have at least a 2:1 in Psychology

  • You will have Team Training or would be willing to undertake.

  • You will be committed to the safe guarding of children

  • You will have your own transportation and be willing to travel reasonable distances for work

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
