Are you a psychology graduate based in the borough of Hillingdon?

Do you want to make a difference in young children's lives?

Are you interested in supporting autistic pupils?

The Position:

You will work as a learning support assistant and assist the teacher with small classes of 5 pupils. You will build strong relationships with students and have the ability to aid in social and emotional progression of students, through the pursuit of excellence in all areas. This will be calculated and monitored in weekly progress reports on the pupils.

We Will Provide:

  • Supervision and support from dedicated members of senior management
  • Specific training to the role
  • References can be provided after 6months of work

The School:

with an Autistic unit and children´s centre in Uxbridge. The unit is aiming for excellence in the education and development of their children, so a pro-active and hardworking attitude is a must.

This unit requires energetic and dedicated people who can demonstrate a good understanding of the concepts and principles of working with SEN children and apply this to allow students to achieve their full potential.

The Requirements:

  • Psychology Graduate
  • Experience working with young people/children (including babysitting and volunteering)
  • Listening skills
  • Sensitive and tactful nature
  • Emotionally mature
  • Understanding of loss and bereavement issues
  • Compassion
  • Reliable and trustworthy
