Primary Teaching Assistant - Slough - Full Time

Currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work with an SEN School with Primary aged pupils.

We require teaching assistants in the Slough area…

The school need teaching assistants who have previously worked with students with Special Needs, in the Primary department. The role in which we are recruiting for would be a highly challenging position but also highly rewarding. Ideally the candidate will be available full time, live close to the Slough area and in addition to this be available for trial days and interviews this side of the New Year or the first few weeks of the New Year.

The school caters for:

  • Autism

  • Asperger's Syndrome
  • Profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • Severe Learning difficulties
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Speech Language Communication Needs
  • Hearing and Visual Impairments

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Strong Behaviour Management skills
  • Patient
  • Resilient
  • Experience with Special Need s - child or adults
  • Background as a Teaching Assistant, Support worker, Youth Worker, or Foster Carer
  • A team player and not afraid of getting 'stuck in'
  • Aware of positive behaviour management strategies, e.g. Team Teach (preferred but not essential)
  • Have some knowledge of the primary curriculum
