Teaching Personnel is working with a fantastic school in the Wandsworth area for a teaching assistant to start in September 2021. The school is rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and boasts an excellent reputation for providing an excellent environment for staff and children.

The school is in the heart of Wandsworth and is easily accessible through local transport public transport links nearby. The teaching assistant will be joining a reception level class of 12 children but will be utilised across the Primary years including KS1 and KS2. This teaching assistant role is to support children independently or in small groups whilst working alongside the teacher or room leader to create a nurturing learning space.

Your responsibilities will be:

• To be calm under pressure, adaptable and enthusiastic
• To be compassionate, have a positive attitude and encouraging
• Good listening ability and to be sensitive to pupils’ individuals needs
• Promote positive behaviour management skills
• Supporting with Literacy and Maths
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing guidance where needed
• Preparing the classroom and assisting the teacher with other duties
