Looking for a full-time teaching assistant role?

Daily rate of pay is £77 - £85 per day!

Teaching Personnel currently have several Teaching Assistant opportunities in Bedfordshire & Luton. 

The roles are a combination of full-time general Teaching Assistants and 1:1 Teaching Assistants. The successful candidates will be expected to work across a variety of ages.

The ideal candidates will need to be committed, patient and caring. You must have a desire to support pupils to reach their full potential as well as, relevant experience working with children, ideally in a Primary setting. You will need to also possess good communication skills, excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

Role responsibilities:

• Working under the guidance of senior leadership and class teachers to assist within the classroom, as well as implementing small group and 1:1 interventions (both in and out of the classroom)

• Collaborating with the class teacher to assist the effective delivery of the lesson plans.

• Assisting with setting up classroom and/or outdoor activities to facilitate learning in alignment with the curriculum.

• Being able to communicate well with children, maintaining good classroom behaviour and minimising disruptions in line with the school behaviour policy.

• Ensuring that pupils are engaged in the class and on track with achieving their learning goals.

• Being able to work as an effective team member. The ideal candidate will have:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 For Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) (Non-essential)

• Other relevant training, e.g. Phonics & Maths Interventions, Makaton, Team Teach, Additional Language fluency (Non-essential)

• First Aid Training (Non-essential)

• A good understanding of literacy and numeracy.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
