Are you a Teaching Assistant seeking a new challenge?

Do you have experience supporting pupils with behaviour needs?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a client school in the Poole area. The school is a primary SEN School, catering for pupils with behaviour needs; including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), ADHD and Autism.

You will be working as a class based Teaching Assistant within a Key Stage 2 class. The school has small class sizes (of around 6-8 pupils) and you will be working alongside a class teacher and another Teaching Assistant. Your role will involve both 1-1 support and working with small groups.

This is a full time role to start in April 2019, or earlier if you are available. This is a temporary role, with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate. The school hours are 8.30-4.00, Monday - Friday. The school has on-site parking and is easily reachable by public transport.

To be successful in this role you should:

  • have experience within a primary school setting
  • have a good understanding of the National Curriculum
  • be confident with behaviour management
  • be resilient and able to effectively support challenging behaviour
  • be positive, enthusiastic and nurturing

Team Teach training is desirable. If you haven't already done this, Teaching Personnel offer Team Teach courses as part of our extensive CPD Academy.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
