Due to an increase in demand for Teaching Assistants and support staff in the West Lancashire area this academic year, Teaching Personnel are looking to register a small number of quality and experienced TAs on a 3-day Guaranteed Work Scheme (GWS) with the company.

What is a GWS?

You will be a registered educator with Teaching Personnel; however, you will be prioritised for any work within a specified radius of your home or chosen address (e.g. childcare setting).

You must be available for work 3 days per week (term-time only) - to be confirmed with your local Consultant. The benefit of the GWS is that you will get paid for these 3 days, even if you are not offered work! The conditions are that you MUST be available for work on those days and we MUST be able to contact you to discuss any work for that day.

What do I need to be registered on the GWS?

  • A minimum Level 2 qualification associated with childcare, education or health and social care
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a school setting
  • A child workforce DBS certificate registered on the update service (this can be applied for during your registration with TP)
  • Positive references received from two most recent places of work

What kind of work will I need to undertake?

When you first register with Teaching Personnel, we will take detailed notes of your work preferences. These will include: key stages/ year groups; special educational needs, boosters & interventions, etc.

Your local consultant will run work by you that suits your work preferences; however, flexibility and adaptability is key to being successfully registered on the GWS. You may be in a consistent role in the same school or you may work in three different schools in one week – another benefit of the GWS! A great way further develop your skills and experience!

What is the rate of pay?

You will be paid approximately £70 per day, equating to £210 per week. You will be paid on a PAYE contract and the pay is one week in arrears.

  

Can I work through Teaching Personnel on the other two days?

Of course! If you are available to other two days, please let your local Consultant know and they will keep you in the loop with any additional work that suits your work preferences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
