Primary Teaching Assistant Exeter

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for creative Teaching Assistants to work at a one of our partnership schools in Exeter who are passionate about learning through play, the creative arts and outdoor learning.

If you have previous experience working with children within a school setting, this position could be for you. The schools mission is to develop the children as all-rounded individuals and working on their social and emotional growth, as well as academic. They are a family based school and thrive on parent-school interaction and community events.

You will:

  • Be confident working with children with a range of learning and SEN needs
  • Can use strategies to de-escalate behaviour
  • Have an understanding of literacy and maths
  • Be creative or sporty
  • Be passionate about getting children engaged in creative arts and outdoor learning
  • Be resilient, forward-thinking and have a good sense of humour
  • Potentially have forest school experience
