Primary Classroom Support Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Classroom Support Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools in the Doncaster area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience in education, support pupils across EYFS–KS2, and work as part of a welcoming, supportive school community.
Role Responsibilities

Provide in-class support to the class teacher, helping deliver engaging and accessible lessons

Work with pupils in small groups or 1:1, supporting learning, behaviour, and personal development

Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and general teaching tasks
-
Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment

Support pupils with additional needs (SEN experience is desirable but not essential)

Contribute to pupils’ progress by offering encouragement, guidance, and patience
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children (school, childcare, tutoring, youth work, SEN support etc.)

A positive, caring, and proactive attitude

Strong communication and organisational skills
-
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team

A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
