Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Autism Support

Area: Thornbury

Salary: £54-65 Per Day

Role: Full Time

Teaching Personnel are working with a school in the lovely rural area of Thornbury that are seeking a teaching assistant who has experience supporting either adults or children with autism. This school is located in an easy-to-access are of Thornbury and set within a really nice area. Teaching Personnel have worked with this school for a number of years and it is frequently commented upon as a great place to work within a supportive staff base.

For this role your daily routine will include some of the general teaching assistant activities such as supporting the class teacher with all activities and keeping the classroom tidy. Your main duties as a teaching assistant in this particular role consist of supporting a KS2 student with autism. You will be supporting this student on a 1:1 basis throughout the day; both inside the classroom as well as taking the child out of the classroom to work on their bespoke daily activities.

Any experience autism or SEN is desired however not essential if you have relevant experience supporting young people.
