SEN Support Assistant

Do you have a passion for supporting SEN Secondary School students with their academic needs?

Do you want to make a difference in young people’s educational journey?

Our client secondary school based in Wolverhampton has a history of excellence; recently proven in a ‘Good’ Ofsted grading. Teaching Personnel are looking for a full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 15:30pm) SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will have confidence in their ability to work with SEN students on a 1:1 basis, as well as in small group sessions. It is imperative that applicants are able to build positive rapport with a variety of students from different backgrounds.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEN in a school or similar environment (desirable)
  • 1:1 or small group working experience with vulnerable people (desirable)
  • Support the teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the school
  • Motivate, engage and inspire young people to learn and participate
  • Support the teacher with general classroom and behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
