The Role:- Primary Teacher

This role is covering a teacher who is going to Malaysia with her family on a 1 year sabbatical to teach with the possibility of it being extended to a second year. After speaking with the Headteacher he declared that there are low levels of ALN in this class and pupils’ behaviour is usually good. In this role you will be expected to deliver fun and engaging lessons to encourage learning within and outside the classroom. The school would like you to embrace Donaldson’s four keys purpose that inspire children to be ambitious and capable learners, enterprising and creative contributors, ethical and informed citizens, healthy and confident individuals. You must have a strong passion to make a positive impact on children’s learning and be an effective communicator with staff, pupils and parents.

The School:-

This primary school is base in Abergavenny and has 320 pupils on the roll including 56 nursery children. Pupils are taught in 12 classes, four of which are mixed age.  In the schools latest inspection ESTYN commented that pupils in the school show respect and good manner to each other, staff and visitor.  For example, pupils hold doors open for adults and are quick to give polite greeting in Welsh.
