Graduate Teaching Assistant

Graduate Teaching Assistant needed in client secondary school in South Manchester. This is a 5 day per week role working 8:30am – 3pm at a brand-new school with outstanding facilities, the school are considering applicants of all experience levels the applicant must be eager to learn and be passionate about working with young people. The role starts October 2023 until the end of the academic year.

• Earn £1540 - £1700 per month
• Work in a school with state-of-the-art facilities
• Build school-based experience

In this role the successful applicant will provide general classroom support across subjects, helping any struggling students complete the set work, maintain a high level engagement across year groups and to uphold school standards especially those regarding behaviour.

The school will provide full training around key school issues, which include Safeguarding, EAL, and SEMH. The applicant will receive consistent support and will also gain the opportunity to cover full scale classes when staff absences occur.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your school-based experience, working amongst highly supportive staff.

Additional responsibilities:

• Create and develop learning materials for small groups and specific students
• Liaise with teaching staff to help identify any students that would benefit from receiving extended support
• Always uphold school policies, especially those regarding behaviour, bullying and academic achievement
• Deliver rich, detailed feedback to the students you are supporting, constructively highlighting their strengths and areas of improvement
• Build a rapport with students from a range of multicultural and ethnic backgrounds, some students first language will not be English.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
