Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join a warm, supportive, and forward-thinking school community in Wimborne.

This position offers the chance to work with learners aged 3 to 18, providing both primary and secondary support depending on experience. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, working 8.45am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Your Role

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that promote curiosity, confidence, and enjoyment.

  • Support learners across a broad age range, adapting teaching styles to meet individual needs.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support holistic development.

  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment where every learner feels valued.

  • Bring energy, resilience, and compassion to your daily teaching practice.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • A minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, especially supporting children with additional needs.

  • A driving licence and access to transport, due to the school’s location.

  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential.

  • A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
