Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a supportive and inspiring school community in Cranborne. This role focuses on secondary-aged learners 11 to 16, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in a creative and nurturing environment. The position is full-time with an immediate start, working 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Your Role

  • Deliver engaging lessons tailored to secondary-aged learners, promoting confidence and enjoyment in learning.

  • Support pupils with varied abilities, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.

  • Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.

  • Maintain a structured and encouraging classroom environment that supports progress and wellbeing.

  • Bring enthusiasm, flexibility, and patience to your daily teaching practice.


What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • A minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with additional needs.

  • A driving licence and access to transport, due to the school’s rural location.

  • Strong communication skills, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

  • A calm, nurturing, and proactive approach to teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
