SEN Primary Teacher – Opportunities via Teaching Personnel

A SEN/PRU Primary School in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join their team.

 

The Role:

You will be responsible for planning and delivering excellent mixed curriculum lessons to Primary School children ages 4-11 years old, with various SEN needs such as ADHD, ADD, ASD, CD, MLD, OCD, ODD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties and other behavioural needs.

The school is extremely committed to preparing pupils for a safe, happy and productive adult life, as well as having amazing commitment to safeguarding children and promoting children’s welfare, and it is expected of all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to share this same commitment to maintain a vigilant and safe environment. Their approach in developing a strong relationship with their pupils helps empower the students to face and embrace challenges in a safe and consistent environment.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

  • PGCE / QTS / Fully Qualified Teacher status
  • Applicant must be comfortable working in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit)
  • A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting children
  • SEMH/mental health experience
  • Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
  • Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
  • Able to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely

 

Working Hours/Benefits:

  • Full Time, Term-time only
  • Monday and Tuesday = 08:30 – 16:00
  • Wednesday and Thursday = 08:30 – 15:15
  • Friday = 08:30 – 15:00
