An excellent has arisen in a welcoming and friendly primary school in the London Borough of Kingston offering one to one support to a pupil with ADHD, Autism and Challenging Behaviour in Year 3, this position will be starting in September.
Due to the nature of the pupil's needs it is essential that you can build a strong relationship with them and offer them continued and consistent support for at least 1 academic year. When supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, you will be required to offer pastoral support and care to the pupils whenever necessary. Therefore, the school are looking for someone who can act as a strong role model, who is consistent, resilient and confident. Having relevant experience working with pupils with behaviour needs is ideal but not essential, if you have experience as a youth worker then the school would be interested in meeting you.
The school have a long standing SLT and supportive team that will guide you and support you whilst working at the school. Being located in Kingston there is fantastic transport links available and there is also on site parking at the school.
This position is perfect for a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant with previous experience of supporting Challenging Behaviour SEN and who would like to further their experience. You must be confident with all areas of the curriculum and be confident in your own abilities.
