We are currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and capable Gradate Teaching Assistant to work in a 'Outstanding' Primary School in the Borough of Lewisham. This Graduate Teaching assistant job will include working with mixture of students with varied ages and learning needs, across the key stages.

The main expectation of this Teaching assistant role will require you providing general support, as well as 1-1 student support if needed or supporting small groups of students within a classroom setting. The Role:

PrimaryTeaching Assistants are expected to show an enthusiasm and eagerness to progress and develop the learning of the students they are interacting with regularly. For this Graduate Teaching assistant job, it is also essential that the applicant's literacy and numeracy are to a high standard. The ideal Teaching assistant applicant will:

  • Be approachable, engaging and encouraging to the students
  • Be well learned in literacy and numeracy skills
  • Uphold the safeguarding of all students to the school's policy and to the highest standard possible

Minimum Requirements

- Previous experience working in a similar School setting, or evidence of strong Behaviour Management

- A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve

- Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support

A Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or one done through Teaching Personnel
