Primary SEN Teacher - Barnsley

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Multi Academy Trust specialising in special needs across South Yorkshire who is looking to recruit a SEN Teacher for a temporary to permanent role starting in January 2019. Applicants will be experienced in teaching and supporting students with autism and severe learning difficulties for a SEN Support within a Sheffield school.

Ideally applicants would have teaching experience with autism and severe learning difficulties (SLD) in a SEN school setting from EYFS - KS2. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness are desired but not mandatory. We would also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers or Teachers with mainstream SEN experience.

Teaching Personnel are seeking a teacher who has:

  • 6 months experience teaching students with ASC and SLD in a mainstream or SEN setting
  • A good awareness of SEN with up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training
  • Adaptable across the primary curriculum and able to differentiate to the pupils requirements
  • Excellent behaviour management and a good team player
  • A nurturing and dedicated approach to teaching
