Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a client primary school in Newham. The school is looking for an experienced SEN LSA to work 1:1 with a child in Year 3 who has challenging behaviour. This is a full-time position starting mid-April and is likely to run at least for the full academic year with possible progress to permanent.

The role is a challenging one so the school are looking for an individual who will commit to this child and help support improving their behaviour and raising their attainment. The successful candidate will need a calm nature, strong communication skills and be determined to make a difference. The candidate should ideally have recent experience or training in working with primary school pupils with Special Educational Needs. Team Teach training is desirable but not required.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
