Primary School Teacher

We are looking to recruit an inspirational teacher to promote effective learning and secure high levels of learner wellbeing for a Primary school within the Monmouthshire area. If you are a dynamic, enthusiastic and hard-working team player, then please apply within.

This post is suitable for either newly qualified or experienced teachers.

We are seeking excellent practitioners who have:

  • The ability to inspire children to have a love of learning.
  • High expectations and a drive to raise standards.
  • Enthusiasm and a commitment to professional development.
  • Total dedication to the inclusion of all pupils.
  • High aspirations for developing pupil participation in the planning process of learning via a practical, hands-on, real life skills based curriculum.
  • A keen interest in extra-curricular activities.
  • A clear understanding of skills based curriculum, in particular the Literacy and Numeracy Framework.
  • The ability to teach Welsh as a second language.
  • The ability to contribute to the development and improvement of the school as a whole.
  • Expertise in digital learning.
  • The ability to develop children to be reflective learners.

Applicants must:

  • Have recognised Teaching qualification including QTS;
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
  • Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
  • Provide at least two professional or character references
