If you have answered yes to all these questions, this role maybe for you. The school is local to the Nelson area (BB9) and is easily accessible via public transport, with numerous bus routes and a train station and bus stop within a 5-minute walk from the school, for those Teachers who are public transport users. There is also a secure staff car park, which is accessible to supply staff.

The role

You will be expected to cover PPA from years 1-6, Monday to Wednesday (mornings only). The working hours of the role is 08:45 – 12:30 each day. Planning and marking with the use of school policies may be required of the successful candidate.

As a teacher you will need experience working with KS1 and KS2, the curriculum and what it entails. The teacher will also need to have experience in working in a Faith primary school. We will require your two most recent employers to provide a reference. The school prides itself on creating a safe and secure environment which is happy for the children but also staff. The member of staff they are looking for needs to be able to enable pupils to develop themselves personally, morally, and spiritually. The children within the school have good behavior and the high standards of behaviour are carried throughout all areas within the school.

How to apply

For a PPA Teacher, the rate will be £140 - £180 depending on experience. The Head Teacher is seeking to appoint someone to start in September 2024, with a view to continue until July 2025. There is a possibility of a permanent contract to be offered from January 2025, dependent on suitability of the successful Teacher and school budgets.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
