Primary Learning Support Assistant | Great Yarmouth

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking for a rewarding role? We're looking for an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming Primary school in Great Yarmouth through Teaching Personnel.

The Role:

You’ll provide dedicated support to students with a range of needs, helping them to access the curriculum, overcome barriers to learning, and fully participate in school life. You’ll work closely with the class teachers and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to implement support plans and help students reach their full academic and personal potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to individuals and small groups of students in the classroom.
  • Implement and assist with individual education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies.
  • Foster students' independence and confidence, encouraging them to engage with their learning.
  • Support students' social and emotional development.
  • Assist the class teacher with general classroom duties and lesson preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure consistent support.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting students or young people with additional needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping every student succeed.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
