Primary, Kingston, Teaching Assistant, full time.

Job description

We have an opportunity for a candidate to work with a year 2 pupil with Autism (ASC)  and Speech/Language needs. The school is located in Kingston Upon Thames. This is a full-time role where you will be working 1:1 with the child ensuring that a good level of care and support is given. You will be working alongside the Class Teacher and SEN Co-ordinator who will offer you continuous support and training opportunities throughout your time at the school.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 2:2 degree  in a Psychology or any Education related degree.

  • PECs trained (Essential).

  • Experience working with SEN children is preferred.

  • Good knowledge and awareness of UK Education and SEN.

  • Experience working with Primary ages although we will consider Secondary trained TA’s, looking for a change of career path!

  •  A clear passion for working with young people with SEN.

  • A caring nature and positive influence.

  • Phonics Trained.
