Primary Intervention Tutor

With the government announcing the Catch up funding, encouraging schools to put interventions into place to help children catch up after lock down

Bradford Primary are looking to deploy a number of Intervention Turors across a number of different ways in primary schools varying in sizes and cultures.

One school’s definition of the role can very different from another’s, and it is important to bear this in mind when considering each individual vacancy.

Generally, the main purpose of an Intervention Tutor is to enable students who are underachieving to reach their target attainment levels by providing coaching and activities outside of the main classroom.

Typically, the role of Intervention Tutor will include the following duties:

  • Leading 1:1 or small group sessions for students in a core subject area
  • Planning and preparing intervention sessions
  • Marking and assessing work
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of students
  • Attending departmental meetings
  • Supporting revision sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
