Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Primary school in the South West area who are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is available on a full time basis. You must be able to drive with access to your own vehicle.

The school thrives on their immersive learning approach to teaching and learning and are looking for someone who is able to adapt to this learning approach.

Candidates must have experience of work in a primary school setting. Having experience of working with children and young people with additional needs and/or challenging behaviours will strengthen your application.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of GCSE A-C or equivalent. The following qualifications are not essential but they are desired:

  • Behaviour management in the classroom
  • Sports related qualifications
  • MAPA/Team Teach
  • Safeguarding Tier 2

If you have a DBS on the update service then this will clear your documents quicker. However if you do not have a current DBS then do not worry as we can support you through the process.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
