The School:
This is a one-form entry Primary School, located on the Fylde Coast (North Shore). This school is easily commutable by public transport. SLT have an excellent reputation within the local area and the Headteacher is well respected by staff, pupils and parents. The Headteacher has introduced an effective behaviour policy and as a result, the school and the behaviour has been graded as GOOD by Ofsted. The Headteacher is looking to source a teacher who is committed to contributing to continuous school improvement and somebody who will set clear expectations to pupils from day one in order to maximise attainment in class.
The Role:
This is a part time 0.8 (4 day per week) teaching role to begin from as soon as possible due to a planned absence. In order to secure the right person for the role, the school are able to cover internally for the next four weeks – therefore, candidates who are able to start in school from February half term onwards are able to apply. The school are also flexible on the four days and they are also considering candidates available for three days. The position will continue until July 2020 and the Headteacher is looking for a practitioner who has at least two years experience in the classroom. In this role you will also be expected to cover PPA and management release time across KS1 and KS2 classes, delivering and assessing the children in line with the local framework and the National Curriculum. You will therefore need to have strong subject knowledge in all curriculum areas especially in Maths, Reading and Writing.
How to apply:
To apply for this role, you must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status. You must also be confident working across KS1 and KS2 and be prepared and committed to raising standards in the classroom.
