PPA/Intervention Teacher (Primary) in Cardiff

Teaching Personnel is currently looking to appoint a PPA Teacher / Intervention Teacher to join a welcoming two form entry primary school in Cardiff (CF5). Though the vacancy would be to start after the half term break, the school are open to keeping flexible in terms of an official start date to make sure the right teachers is appointed. The PPA and Intervention Teacher will be teaching across all Key Stages until at least the Christmas Holidays with a very strong opportunity for the candidate to be taken on a permanent basis should they wish to.
The Role :
· Teaching across EYFS to KS2 providing PPA cover for the class' teachers and small group Literacy & Numeracy intervention
· Half term start (can be negotiated)
· Maximum of 30 students per class with at least one teaching assistant in each class (and some 1:1 learning support assistants across the board)
· Long term contract with possibility to go permanent for the right candidate
· Suitable for NQTs
· Daily rate starting at £90+ (negotiable, based on experience)

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria :
· B.Ed with QTS or Degree with PGCE
· Proven experience teaching the British and/or International curriculum
· NQTs and/or Overseas Trained teachers (with English as a first language) welcome to apply
· Established behaviour management required
· Recent classroom-based references
Applicants must :
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
- Provide at least two professional or character references
- Be available to interview and/or trial asap
- Be available to start on short notice
- Be living in Cardiff and/or have plans to move to Cardiff in the near future and/or be willing to travel to Cardiff
