PMLD Teaching Assistant Vacancy

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit teaching assistants to work with a client specialist school in Newport. The school is looking for an experienced PMLD teaching assistant to join their successful team of educators.

The pupils that attend this school will be aged 3-19 and have physical and sensory impairments. You must have experience of supporting young people or adults with physical disabilities and/or additional needs. You will be comfortable providing personal care and ideally will possess a Moving and Handling certificate (although this training can be provided).

It is essential that candidates are aware or have knowledge of EHCP and have the flexibility to address and respond to emotional and personal needs. You will have excellent communication skills and show a passion for supporting others.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
