PMLD Teaching Assistants required

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work within a SEN school in Yeovil that caters for pupils between the ages of 4 - 16 with PMLD.

You will be working in classes that hold no more than 6 pupils, majority of the pupils have PMLD or moderate to severe learning difficulties. Due to the nature of the School, it is essential that you have experience working with children or adults that have special educational needs.

To be considered for this role you should possess the following skill set:

-Good empathy skills

-Strong references

-Fluent in English

-Solid Communication skills

-Hold a relevant qualification or willing to undergo training

-Possess a Child Workforce DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to undergo one

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
