Do you have a passion for supporting children/adults in a care setting? Do you want to work with children in a school setting? Then this could be the role for you!

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in a primary school near Gosport. You will be required to work with small groups of children or on a 1:1 basis with an individual child who have a range of learning difficulties, such as autism, MLD and SLD. Often, the children are high functioning and have challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a care setting with adults or children with special educational needs and understand the sensitivity of pupils with special needs.

The successful SEN teaching assistant must:

• Be pro active and be able to engage students

• Be patient and can be a positive role model for children

• Be able to use positive reinforcement when supporting behaviour difficulties

• Have a DBS or be willing to apply for one
