PMLD/SLD Teaching Assitants Wanted

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a school based in Nuneaton that caters for pupils aged 5-16. The school caters for a range of SEN; inclduing PMLD and SLD. The school are in need of support staff to work on both a day to day basis, and a long term basis. The class sizes are around 8-10, and there will always be a miniumum of 3 members of staff within the class.
The succesaful candidate will have experience working with pupils with SEN; in particular SLD & PMLD. Any qualifications related to Moving & Handling, Feeding and Medicaion is desirable . If you have experience in this field, then you would definitely be considered for the role. School based experience is not essential, but is desirable. Any additional CPD qualifications such as Team-Teach, PECS or Makaton would be great.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
