Glossop based Secondary school require a Physics teacher to start after Easter for the summer term. This is a full time post teaching Science across the curriculum and Physics to GCSE level being preferable.
Situated in the SK13 post code the school has a train station a short walk away and direct bus routes. The school has a friendly, welcoming environment and a reputation for nurturing and developing its staff.
The successful Science teacher will be tasked with increasing the academic performance of students and improving last years Science results where 54% of students achieved an A*-C grade in their Science GCSEs. With over 1700 students on roll this traditional mixed comprehensive school has good pupil behaviour with management enforcing strict policies and procedures on behaviour.
