A Bury based secondary school are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Physics to join their dynamic science department teaching predominantly Physics across KS3 and 4 and Biology/Chemistry at KS3.
Due to a restructure within the faculty, this exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Teacher of Physics to join a welcoming staff team on a full time basis. The science faculty has consistently received well in line with national averages in terms of achievement, and boasts access to state of the art resources within modern facilities, all fully equipped with the resources required to provide outstanding teaching.
As the incoming Teacher of Physics you will be expected to lead a full time-table which includes taking on full planning and marking responsibilities, delivering innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 alongside departmental responsibilities, at the discretion of the Head of Department.
This mixed comprehensive secondary school currently serves just over 600 pupils aged 11-16, and continues to act as a beacon within the local community for parents and pupils alike. Bury can easily be accessed via the M66 motorway and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Preston, Rochdale and Manchester. There is also an abundance of public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
