An opportunity has arisen at a school in Stockport, for an experienced Physics teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis. The role will commence after the Easter break, and will run through until the end of the academic year. It is crucial that the applicant will:

  • Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)
  • Be educated to degree level (preferably in Physics or a related subject)
  • Have delivered high quality Physics lessons within a secondary school previously.

Owing to the often complex nature of the subject, it is crucial that the applicant will be able to:

  • Work to deliver the school’s curriculum, as well as being able offer alternative provision for those requiring additional support.
  • Cater for the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN.
  • Working with support staff to deliver interventions when necessary, as well as identifying those who will require additional help within the subject.

The required applicant will be able to:

  • Deliver feedback to subject leaders, senior leaders and parents whenever necessary.
  • Work in collaboration with support staff, to ensure that work and homework has been differentiated effectively.
  • Make lessons engaging for pupils to ensure that they remain focused throughout, as well as homework tasks that allow pupils to think independently about relevant curriculum.
  • Be able to work with students on both a 1:1, as well as group basis, to ensure that alternative learning methods are implemented.
  • Pay - GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 annually, based on prior experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
