Located in the centre of Stockport, we have a perfect opening for an English teacher for KS3/KS4 from the end of March to the end of August 2023.
This is a great opportunity for any English teacher to enhance their experience, the school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that allows every child, regardless of ability or background, to succeed.
Applicants in this role will gain:
- Experience of teaching English at KS3/KS4
- The ability to deliver the English curriculum while maintaining the culture of the school
- Pay ranging from £28,000 to £43,685 depending on where you fall in the pay scale
- The possibility of a permanent contract in a strong English department after initial Teaching Personnel introduction
They believe all pupils should build cultural capital throughout their time, engaging in learning opportunities, resulting in the highest possible academic achievement. In turn you will be required to continue the culture and ethos of the school while teaching English.
With a student population of 625 this will ensure you can deliver quality teaching at a more intimate level allowing you to really make a difference and develop students English skills.
You will be joining a strong department as subject leaders in English are highly ambitious for all their pupils. They are very clear about what they want their pupils to learn and retain. They also understand how they can best make this happen as the curriculum in this subject is very well thought out.
With the M60 only 7 mins away and the Stockport bus station 5 minutes away this school benefits from multiple routes across all areas of Manchester, making this one of the easiest schools to commute to.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
