Bury secondary school seek to appoint a PE teacher from May 2016 to cover a long term absence in Boys PE.


*Covering long term absence leave following the half term period (From November 2016, Male and Female teachers considered for post)

*Post through till Easter 2017 with possibility of being extended

Due to a gap within Boys PE, the head of PE wishes to appoint a enthusiastic and motivating PE teacher who can deliver the PE curriculum to pupils in KS3 and KS4 (Both Male and Female teacher will be considered for this opportunity).

This multi cultural 11- 16 comprehensive school located in the centre of Bury and is average in size with around 950 pupils on roll. The school has outstanding facilities for Physical Education and this vibrant and friendly department is made up of 5 other members of staff. The head of department is looking for a PE teacher who can raise engagement and attainment levels of all pupils but in particular those who require additional motivation. Applicants must hold UK QTS and have a proven track record of delivering ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ practice.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
