Physical Education Teacher

A large Bolton based secondary school is seeking to appoint a Physical Education teacher to teach female PE within a highly successful PE department on a full-time basis from September 2019. The Head Teacher and the governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and innovative practitioner who can challenge, motivate and encourage their pupils.

• Full-time Teacher of Girls' PE required from September 2019.
• Must hold QTS alongside relevant experience delivering PE up to GCSE/BTEC.
• Applications are urged from both experienced and newly qualified teachers as relevant support will be provided.

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406.

The incoming teacher of Girls' PE can expect to be joining a department which consists of 3 members of full time staff and one PE Assistant working across Key Stages 3 & 4. PE is extremely popular amongst pupils across the school and boasts a variety of activities including athletics, swimming, cross country, football etc.

The responsibilities for the incoming Teacher of Girls' PE will include but may not be limited to;

• Assist in the development of programmes within the PE department alongside through the planning, preparing and marking of the Curriculum.
• Deliver dynamic PE lessons sessions to pupils across the school at Key Stage 3 & 4.
• Positively manage behaviour amongst all pupils in accordance to school behaviour policies.
• Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.

Located at the heart of Bolton with just over 1400 pupils enrolled, aged 11-16 the school has recently refurbished facilities with access to state of the art resources. The school can be easily accessed from the surrounding areas; Salford, Preston and Wigan and there is also an abundance of public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
