THE SCHOOL:
The school is a mixed community comprehensive school in the London Borough of Ealing dedicated to serving it's locality. The school's vision is to empower students so that they are able to take control of their own future and have enhanced life chances as a result of learning with them. The school has very high expectations for the achievement of all of it's students. Their latest Ofsted report validates this sentiment with the school continuing to be judged as securely Good. Ofsted stated: “The atmosphere is calm and orderly. Pupils have high aspirations and work hard”.
The school is a short walk from the nearest over ground station, served by three busses and is easily accessible by car. It's set within extensive grounds and has excellent links with local clubs and foundations.
THE ROLE:
The school are looking for a PE teacher to teach 5 days per week, approximately 17 hours of contact time, K3-KS5 ideally. However if you can only teach to KS4 please do still apply, the time table hasn't been finalised so could be manipulated to suit you. You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering; engaging and challenging lessons. You will report into an actively involved and supportive HOD who has a track record of getting their staff promoted. Due to the late notice of the role, the school are considering paying above scale.
REQUIERMENTS:
Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed
Previous UK teaching experience - PE to KS4
A can do/proactive attitude
