Personal Learning Support assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with an independent school in Bournemouth . The school are recruiting for an experienced Personal Learning Support assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Prader Willi Syndrome. This would be a full time role to start from September 2018. The school are a supportive and friendly network with excellent facilities.

The successful candidate daily duties will include;

  • Providing support for the child within lessons
  • Use your initiative to differentiate activities to support the student's individual needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher
  • Excellent motivation skills

To be a successful candidate for this role you will need to;

  • Have previous experience working within a school setting
  • Be able to communicate effectively with different members of staff and parents
  • Have knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Have a friendly caring personality

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
