Are you someone with experience with Personal Care? Are you seeking to transition into working in education as opposed to a care setting?
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school based in Northamptonshire, aiding them with the recruitment of a Teaching Assistant who has experience with personal care.
The school require someone to start in September and have highlighted that the incoming member of staff will be supporting a young male student with personal care requirements.
- Personal Care Teaching Assistant
- Full-time position with the school in requirement of someone who can start in September 2020.
- Must have experience supporting children or adults with personal care.
- Must hold a DBS or be willing to apply for one and register it to the update service.
- Competitive pay rates in line with your responsibilities.
The school are looking for a permanent solution for this student and are seeking to appoint a Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with them on a 1:1 basis in a mainstream environment. There will be an opportunity for progression for the incoming staff member and maybe even permanent contract opportunities further down the line.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will be supporting 1:1 with a named child who will be joining the school in September as a year 7 student. The role will involve supporting the student with their educational, social, physical, and personal care and to enable them to access all areas of student life within school. The role includes personal intimate care. The pupil that needs additional support does not show challenging behaviour or any type of resistance to education. The student is calm and keen to engage, however does require support to do so
Our client secondary school is a successful and oversubscribed 11-16 secondary school with an excellent track record for achieving the best possible outcomes for its pupils. Located in a village 5 miles from central Northampton, the school is easily accessible to candidates in a number of locations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
