PE Teaching Assistant - Manchester

An Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Manchester are seeking a PE Teaching Assistant to join the department after the Christmas holidays for a long term position supporting the class teacher and assisting the pupils with any additional needs they may have.

  • Full time position working as a PE Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils on a 1:1 and group basis
  • Working at an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in North Manchester with excellent facilities
  • Get paid up to £375 a week, dependent on experience and responsibilities
  • Further training available through Teaching Personnel's CPD courses

The incoming PE Teaching Assistant will be working within a large modern secondary school based in North Manchester, easily accessible by public transport as well as having free staff parking on site. The school were recently graded 'Good' by Ofsted due to the excellent support they show throughout the school as well as having an 'Outstanding' leadership team within the school. There has been a recent multimillion pound refurbishment throughout the school, resulting in excellent teaching and learning provisions throughout, particularly in the PE department.

As a PE Teaching Assistant you will be required to support the pupils on a 1:1 and group basis, both within the classroom as well as assisting with the set up and marking of extra curricular activities and after school clubs such as sports days and football training. This is an excellent opportunity for anybody considering a future as a PE Teacher as you will gain a real insight to what is required as you support the in class teacher in the planning, delivery and marking of PE lessons.
