PE TEACHING ASSISTANT - OLDHAM - FULL TIME - JANUARY START

Full time position as a PE Teaching Assistant delivering after school sport coaching and supporting the teacher in both practical and theoretical lessons.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large modern secondary school in Oldham that requires a full time PE Teaching Assistant to join the department after the Christmas holidays. The school is located close to major public transport links to the City Centre as well as being easily accessible via the hollingwood interchange off the M60. The school have an excellent support structure in place and holds a strong reputation in the community of being a safe place for pupils to learn and develop.

• Full time position working as a PE Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils on both a 1:1 and group basis
• Working at a large modern secondary school with state of the art facilities throughout
• Earn a competitive wage of up to £70 a day paid on a weekly basis
• Further develop opportunities available through Teaching Personnel's CPD courses

Working as a PE Teaching Assistant is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher to gain a real insight of what is required as a PE Teacher as you support both practical and theoretical lesson plans. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in these young peoples lives as you support them on a 1:1 and group basis and offer guidance on how to improve their overall sporting ability and physical education knowledge. Experience in a similar role or holding a relevant degree is preferred however we would welcome applications from anybody with a passion for sport and experience supporting young people, particularly if you are a graduate considering enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme.
