PE Teaching Assistant

Full time Physical Education (PE) Teaching Assistant required for a Bolton Secondary school, starting immediately on a temporary ad-hoc basis throughout the academic year.

Due to an increased demand within the PE department this small Farnworth based Secondary school are seeking to appoint a dynamic PE Teaching Assistant to work within their growing faculty alongside the class teacher and delivering PE sessions where required.

• Full time PE Teaching Assistant required for a Bolton Secondary school.
• Must hold prior experience working with young people in an education setting.
• Minimum of degree level qualification/equivalent must be obtained to be considered for this position.
• Earn up to £1200 per month.

Located on the border of Bury and Salford, this diverse Secondary Academy has just fewer than 500 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. With a strong emphasis on the inclusive practice of outstanding teaching and learning, the progression of all their pupils is at the heart of their pedagogy.

The responsibilities for this PE Assistant role will include;

• Assist in the development of programmes within the PE department alongside staff members.
• Deliver dynamic pre-planned sports sessions to pupils across the school at Key Stage 3 & 4.
• General cover responsibilities will be included.
• Support class teachers within the faculty with the preparation of all Sports/PE activities.
• Positively manage behaviour amongst all pupils in accordance to school behaviour policies.
• Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.

The school can easily be accessed via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Prestwich and Salford. Public transport links are also readily available with the bus and train stations less than a few miles from the school.
