PE teacher job (Wellingborough)

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a secondary school in Wellingborough who is seeking a PE teacher to join them at the earliest opportunity! If you are an engaging and enthusiastic PE specialist we want to hear from you! NQT's are welcome to apply, as well as those with a background in teaching PE to key stage 3 and 4 students without QTS.

Graded 'Good' by OFSTED in 2017, the school recognise that the quality of teaching and learning is a huge factor in shaping the success of students and due to this; they have placed it at the centre of the schools work. The progress of every individual student is valued and as a result there is a positive and effective learning environment. Staff and students are currently celebrating another year of significant advancement: GCSE pass rates of almost 100% across all subjects with 76% of students achieving grade 4 or above in English and Maths. You will join a dedicated department of Physical Education specialists who aim to ensure that students embrace competition and to lead active healthy lives. GCSE and BTEC are taught to KS4 students under the edexcel specification and the faculty run a multitude of lunch time and after school clubs to encourage participation. The successful candidate will be required to teach practical and theory PE lessons to KS3/KS4 on a full timetable until the end of the year. There is a permanent position for the right candidate. Ideal candidates will be:

  • Able to prepare and deliver creative and dynamic lessons which cater to a variety of abilities
  • Capable of monitoring results in order to ensure students progress
  • Constantly striving to improve and develop themselves
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Have prior experience teaching Key stage 3 and 4 PE(NQT's and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply).
