Job description

The Lincoln Secondary Branch of Teaching Personnel are seeking experienced PE Teachers to work with a 'good' secondary school in Spalding, starting ASAP. This role will be on a full time basis until January 2020. Should you have a successful assignment the school may be able to offer a contract at the end of the supply booking.

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching PE to both Key Stage 3 and 4, up to GCSE Level. Applications from NQTs and Cover Supervisors who also have experience within Secondary schools are welcomed.

The school are looking for someone who's teaching methods and approaches are varied to ensure that lessons are both stimulating and challenging. A teacher that is committed to sharing practice and resources to promote creativity, set high personal standards in lessons and foster positive relationships with students rooted in mutual respect. Essential requirements:

  • UK QTS or relevant experience
  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree in Drama/Performing Arts
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Applicable teaching references
  • Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service

What is expected of you:

  • The ability to teach PE to Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and GCSE level
  • Adaptable in your teaching skills to suit different classes and learning styles
  • Be a good team player with strong behaviour management skills
  • Carry out engaging and stimulating PE lessons

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching PE in a mainstream UK secondary school
  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree in PE
