PE Teacher needed for Maternity Leave in Burnley area

Teaching Personnel is working with a School in Burnley, East Lancashire, to appoint a PE Teacher with an excellent track record of raising student attainment through outstanding teaching and learning or an NQT with outstanding potential to join their successful PE Faculty.

They value the professional development of each and every member staff with a variety of training courses available to staff including NQT & RQT training courses and also middle and senior leadership courses (NPQML/NPQSL) for those more experienced teachers looking to further their career.

The school is a successful 11-16 comprehensive school situated in the Burnley area of East Lancashire. With Approximately 1000 the school is over subscribed and becoming more popular each year. The position has become available due to a maternity leave planned in the new academic year. The maternity is due to start after the October half term. Interviews are due to take place week beginning 1st October 2018.

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint on behalf of the school and are seeking a member of staff who fulfils the following criteria:

  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner, providing engaging and creative learning experiences for all students
  • Motivate, challenge and inspire students within the PE Faculty to be the best that they can be
  • Are committed to raising the achievement of every student
  • Have high expectations and a commitment to the wider life of the school
