Calling all Teachers of PE!
We have an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated Teacher of Physical Education to join a well-resourced PE department. This is a full-time position for a secondary school in Luton. The role commences October 2019 and is for maternity cover purposes.

This position is open and available for Fully Qualified Teachers, Newly Qualified Teachers or Instructors who need more experience in teaching. The successful candidate should display and promote excellence in teaching and learning, and have a positive attitude and be driven to help students achieve outcomes they thought were not possible.
About the role
As a PE teacher, this is the perfect opportunity for you to captivate students' attention and incorporate an interactive way of learning which is different to their other lessons. Your role would be to promote health, activity, social skills and team work whilst understanding and being able to teach to the current curriculum. Specifically, this role is to teach core PE at Key Stage 3 and 4 levels and be able to deal with difficult behaviour in calm and confident manner. Experience with SEN is admired, but not essential. As a core subject, you will have to monitor the development of student's success and be motivated to help students achieve beyond expectations. This valued consistency must be reflected in engaging and effective lessons and should be able to quickly build a rapport with staff and students. To be considered for this role, you will be required to:
- Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be able to provide two references from the last 6 years.

All candidates are required to complete a Safeguarding course through Teaching Personnel, or provide a relevant safeguarding certificate during your registration process.
