PE Teacher

Full time PE Teacher required in September within large modern secondary school in Oldham

The Head Teacher is seeking an energetic and vibrant PE Teacher to join the school in September due to the expansion of the PE department and the increased needs of the 1,500 pupils within the school. The school are looking to appoint a permanent member of staff and would like to take the incoming PE Teacher on a temporary contract for the academic year, with the view of making this permanent following a successful year. With PE being hugely popular within the school and this being showed in the sporting achievements of the pupils, the incoming PE Teacher will be required to uptake a full PE timetable of KS3 and GCSE lessons, with full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking involved.

The school would welcome applications from both experienced PE Teachers looking to pass on their experience or Newly Qualified PE Teachers and would consider each individual on their personal achievements and what they can bring to the school, rather than past experiences. Each individual wage will be negotiated and will be comparative to their teaching scale point (MPS/UPS) and the responsibilities up taken, with opportunities of added responsibility available for those suited. Newly Qualified PE Teachers will be given full guidance and support within the school and will benefit from excellent facilities within the PE department and a bespoke NQT program to suit their individual needs and future goals as a PE Teacher. The school have expressed that the incoming PE Teacher must have a real passion for sport and fitness and be able to truly inspire the pupils to reach the next level, whilst having strong behaviour management to ensure they are focused throughout the academic year.
