Job description

PE Teacher required on a full time basis for a Bolton based Secondary school from February 2019 on a long term supply basis till the end of the academic year.

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with an over-subscribed Secondary school to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate and innovative PE teacher to work within their staff team. If you would like to be considered for this exciting opportunity then please see the details below.

  • Full time PE teacher required from February 2019.
  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualification within PE to be considered.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

The incoming PE teacher can expect to join a supportive community of practitioners working towards the promotion of inclusive practice. The school bodes access to state of the art resources in modern facilities.

The responsibilities for the successful PE teacher will include;

  • Assist in the development of programmes within the PE department alongside through the planning, preparing and marking of the Curriculum.
  • Deliver dynamic PE lessons sessions to pupils across the school at Key Stage 3 & 4.
  • Positively manage behaviour amongst all pupils in accordance to school behaviour policies.
  • Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.

Located on the borderline between Bury and Bolton the school can easily be accessed from the local constituency and the surrounding areas; Salford, Preston and Wigan. There is also an abundance of public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
